Sexy Sadness Calendar
Collaboration with Phaedra Harder for Print Ready 2018
The Sexy Sadness Calendar is a part of an ongoing zine and general collaboration between Steph McDonell and Phaedra Harder in which they push the limits what constitutes a “zine”, and play with the different ways in which narratives can be presented to a reader. Past projects have included sacks of junk mail that allude to a currently occurring apocalypse, packaging from a junk food company in a world where our primary food sources have disappeared, and several others.
This calendar can be used to accurately keep track of the year, but also gives a glimpse into the life of a 20-something woman in 2018 getting through a tough year by doing exactly what our mothers always told us to: Put on a little lipstick and smile through it.
